Written for the exceptionally talented Grace McKay to perform with UMASS Jazz Ensemble I, this arrangement draws straight from the Nestico and Hefti tradition of big band arranging. It swings hard, bringing that Basie-style energy to the room. After the solo section, the vocalist joins the saxes in a soli with unwritten scat syllables. The chart ends with the upper voices tying a neat little bow, concluding this joyful tune.
