Written for UNI Jazz Band One, 2012-2013.  This piece has been described as "beautiful" by legendary bassist/composer/arranger John Clayton, and as a "polyrhythmic charmer" by AllAboutJazz.com's Jack Bowers.  This tune was written to showcase the doubling prowess of the reed section, scored for flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and bass clarinet, with solos for tenor sax in the oboe and bassoon part.  The chart also has two horn parts and a tuba part.  There is a version available for your standard big band instrumentation, with 5 trumpets.  Grade 4-5... doubles notwithstanding, with a high lead trumpet part in the last chord.
