“Letters for Tom” is the result of a pedagogical debate I had with one of my mentors, Tom Giampietro. This chart features your lead alto player prominently in a relaxed waltz designed to allow the listener to soak in the harmonies and phrasing of the band and the soloist. Grade 3.5-4 band part, with a very strong alto soloist recommended.
